Overview
High Haven is a company that aims to normalize medical and recreational cannabis consumption, positioning it as a sophisticated, stigma-free experience akin to enjoying a drink with friends. The brand is inspired by Art Deco design, infused with a modern twist, and promotes a welcoming, respectful environment to all.


Challenge
High Haven needed a brand identity that reflected its mission to destigmatize cannabis use while maintaining a sense of sophistication and inclusivity. Their team wanted a vintage and moody Art Deco feel to connect modern cannabis use back to the prohibition era. The project scope included branding, sales collateral, social media design, and interior design direction to create a cohesive and appealing experience.


Approach
Extensive research into the Art Deco era and modern design trends was conducted to create a unique, timeless brand identity. The goal was to blend classic elegance with contemporary style, making cannabis consumption a chic and respected activity. The branding system for High Haven was designed to be sophisticated, moody, and modern yet nostalgic, while aligning with the brand’s mission to create a stigma-free environment.
Stylish, geometric typefaces were selected to convey sophistication and modernity. Rich, luxurious colors in a wide range of shades were chosen to evoke the elegance of the Art Deco period while incorporating modern aesthetics. Designs featured delicate patterns and oxidized metallic accents to reflect the vintage inspiration while adding unique shine.
Website and social media platforms were redesigned to present a cohesive and engaging online presence. This included user-friendly navigation and visually appealing content that highlights the brand’s values and product partners.
Interior design elements were developed to create an inviting and elegant atmosphere within High Haven’s physical spaces. This included the use of Art Deco-inspired furnishings, wallpaper, fixtures and other decor to enhance the overall brand experience.
